Services

Norton Packaging does it all. From design to manufacturing to final delivery, we oversee every aspect of the process to ensure superior speed, efficiency, and reliability. Need just a specific service? We can do that, too. Just let us know, and we’ll make it happen.

Manufacturing

Our manufacturing process achieves precision performance through strict standardization of molds—providing the tolerance and consistency needed to meet the demands of today’s high-speed lines.

But our commitment begins even before that. We partner with the world’s leading producers to ensure reliable, high-quality resin supply.

Additionally, our manufacturing team is deep and experienced. Their expertise is applied at each step in the manufacturing process…always refining and enhancing our practices to create a continuous cycle of improvement.

We’re proud to be ISO 9001:2008 certified. It’s proof that we consistently provide the quality and performance that fully meet our customers’ needs, while satisfying all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Logistics

Our advanced logistics solution ensures timely, precise delivery to clients across the country and around the world.

We partner closely with our clients to create predictable yet flexible delivery schedules that reduce their inventory handling costs, maximize their efficiency, and speed their time-to-market.

Our Southern California facility is located near the Port of Long Beach, giving us convenient access to markets and materials across Asia and the South Pacific.

Likewise, our Georgia facility will be just minutes from the Port of Savannah, Jacksonville, and Charleston—providing reliable delivery and receipt of goods to and from Europe and South America.

It all rolls up into an integrated, multimodal transportation network that allows us to get the right pail to the right place at the right time.

In fact, we’re able to fulfill 99% of all orders within 10 days—from placement to shipment.

That’s world-class, worldwide.

Quality Assurance

To us, quality is more than a promise. It’s the very core of our company. We spare no effort in ensuring that every Norton product meets the highest standards of performance and durability.

As part of our process, we undergo rigorous quality testing to meet UN standards for Performance-Oriented Packaging.

This effort includes:

Drop Test
To ensure containment and protect against materials’ leaking or escaping if the package is dropped.

Leakproof  Test
To ensure that the packaging will not leak or permit liquids to escape as a result of the normal buildup of air pressure.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test
To ensure that the packaging will not leak under fluid pressure.

Stack Test
To ensure the ability of the packaging to remain intact and hold its contents under normal stacking conditions, including our in-house dynamic-compression testing equipment.

As a result of our ongoing commitment, we are an industry leader for UN liquid packaging. In fact, we have a 30-year supplier relationship with Ecolab, the world’s leading cleanser manufacturer and supplier. We are also in the process of achieving Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) certification, the recognized gold standard for global food safety and quality.

Engineering

Our dedicated mold and machine division is at the core of our company—designing, manufacturing, and maintaining molds to ensure maximum precision and efficiency.

It starts with teamwork. We partner with our clients to clearly identify their specifications and business goals. Then we determine the exact solution: either one of our hundreds of standard molds, or a custom mold to help deliver product differentiation and added value.

The result is a pail that fulfills every need…striking the perfect balance between design, dimension, and function.

And we continually improve mold design and integrity through stringent stress cracking and materials flow testing.

Graphics

Sometimes, it’s what’s on the outside that counts.

Our full-service graphics team is expert at creating and applying custom artwork that grabs attention and moves product.

Our capabilities include artwork consultation and development; proofing, color separation, and platemaking; and advanced offset printing via six-color presses at both our California and Indiana facilities.

In addition, we will also offer best-in-class heat-transfer capabilities in our Georgia manufacturing plant—providing fast, flawless production capability that meets the needs of our clients and their markets.
